Educating on Health Equity: Independence Blue Cross' Health Equity Summit with On the Goga

About the Client:

On the Goga is a wellbeing company determined to make the Future of Work more human, and allow HR leaders to build happier teams through their wellbeing workshops, challenges and platform, the Hub.

About the Project:
On the Goga had been selected to participate in a Health Equity Summit with Independence Blue Cross, and the team had conceptualized a Wellbeing Lounge activation for the event, along with facilitation of an afternoon wellbeing break and an exhibitor booth.

Primary: Event Project Management

Secondary: Event Strategy, Vendor Management, Material Sourcing, Day-of Logistics

Processes:

Beth, as the primary contact for this event, initially met with the On the Goga founder and marketing team to hear an overview of the event goals, both from an On the Goga perspective and an Independence Blue Cross perspective, and how this activation could support those goals, as well as the theme for this year’s Equity Summit.

Next, Beth attended a site visit with the On the Goga team and IBX teams to finalize the experiential elements and maximize opportunities for exposure during the event. Next, she compiled a list of all items on hand for the event, and those which needed to be ordered and/or picked up, and the items that would be borrowed to create a fun, tangible experience for the guests that properly showcased On the Goga’s wellbeing offerings and inclusive approach to wellbeing event facilitation.

Along with the physical items for the event, Beth researched and sourced (2) chair massage therapists and a printing vendor for the event and, after approval, served as primary contact for all, distributing run of shows and conducting pre-event meetings as needed.

Beth served in a day-of event management capacity for the duration of the event, ensuring that OTG’s Client was thrilled with the experience and that the event and experiential elements came to life as envisioned.

Results:

  • Over 200 people in attendance were able to find a space to center their own wellbeing during a packed day of learning and networking.

  • Wellbeing lounge created onsite, including a silent meditation station, reading corner, kindness mirror activation, chair massages and an interactive “What is Wellbeing?” activation, powered by Mentimeter.

Testimonial:

Working with Beth is a dream. We needed help planning and coordinating a wellness activation at Independence Blue Cross' Health Equity Summit. Beth, in one session, was able to digest all of our needs and write up a project plan. It was almost as easy as saying "we need this," waving a wand, and then it's done. She did material sourcing, vendor management, and day of logistics. If you ask Beth for it, you can trust that not only will it get done, but it will get done thoughtfully, creatively, and with a level of detail that will blow your mind. Plus, it helps that she's all this on top of being a genuinely wonderful human. I couldn't recommend her more highly. - Anna Greenwald, Founder & CEO
