We have found these platforms to be life-savers, and we wanted to provide reviews for other event professionals who may be looking for a platform to use for their virtual events. Tech Platform Review Series: Boomset

Overview

Boomset is a multi-faceted “virtual event platform for online and hybrid events.” Their goal is to help their clients streamline their events through features such as event registration, smart sessions, and lead retrieval. Boomset has worked with prominent brands such as Target, Best Buy, and Facebook. 


BLME first worked with the Boomset for the 2018 VOICE Summit. The platform served as our registration and check-in hardware partner. Recently, they have expanded their services to meet the demand for virtual and hybrid events. 


Highlights

Boomset has many useful features and capabilities for hosting virtual and hybrid events. Here are some of our favorite features:

  • The ability to create a customized, branded event registration page

  • Live streaming within the platform

  • The ability to host multiple interactive sessions at once

  • A networking feature that allows for one on one video calls 

  • Mobile guest list check-in

  • The option to use facial recognition for check-in for maximum event security 

  • Integrations with platforms like Zoom, EventBrite, and YouTube

  • Various ticketing options 

    • Free, VIP, discounted, speaker, etc.

  • Accessibility via a web browser or mobile app 

  • The ability to host 10,000+ guests 

  • The option for guests to use their microphones and cameras

    • You as the host can control this as well 

  • The ability to upload your own content to the platform for attendees to view 

    • Can also share your screen if you prefer that 

  • Add-ons such as:

    • Gamification, Q&A, attendee chat, speaker/backstage chat, live chat 

  • Post-event analytics 


The Bottom Line

It has been great to see Boomset grow so much since we were introduced to them. We loved working with their team and truly believe in their platform and its many effective features.
